Santa Cruz is by no means a destination, just what seems to be an inevitable stop from Argentina to Sucre. The suburbs are apparently like LA, rich, with everyone driving SUV's. This in the poorest country in South America.
However, Central Santa Cruz is very much like a poor Cental American city. There was some interesting architecture, and simply for having seen it, we were glad we spent a night there. But, there wasn't too much else to attract the visitor. Plus, our hotel was really not very clean. Oh well, it was a quick in and out.
